Royal Jordanian and Turkish Airlines Launch New Codeshare Partnership

Royal Jordanian and Turkish Airlines have expanded their cooperation with a new codeshare agreement designed to give passengers greater convenience and more seamless connections. Under the agreement, each carrier will place its flight code on the other’s services between Amman (AMM) and Istanbul (IST). Additionally, Royal Jordanian will place its code on Turkish Airlines’ flights between Aqaba (AAC) and Istanbul, further increasing travel options for customers flying to and from Jordan and Turkey.

Both airlines already operate frequent schedules on the Istanbul–Amman route, each offering 14 weekly frequencies, while Turkish Airlines serves the Istanbul–Aqaba route three times per week. By sharing codes on these services, passengers benefit from easier booking, coordinated schedules and streamlined ticketing across the two networks.

This latest arrangement raises Royal Jordanian’s total number of codeshare partners to 16, joining a roster that includes major global and regional carriers. The expanded network enhances connectivity for travelers in the Middle East and beyond, making it simpler to plan itineraries that combine the strengths of both airlines.

The codeshare also supports smoother connections for transfer passengers and provides more options for those seeking convenient flight times or through-ticketing on combined itineraries. Customers can expect coordinated service options, improved access to frequent-flyer benefits on codeshare segments where applicable, and potentially easier handling of disruptions when journeys involve both carriers.

By deepening ties between Royal Jordanian and Turkish Airlines, the partnership aims to increase travel flexibility between key Jordanian gateways—Amman and Aqaba—and the major hub of Istanbul, reinforcing Istanbul’s role as a regional transit point and enhancing access to onward connections across Europe, the Middle East and beyond.
