Muse Saint-Tropez Reopens After Stylish Renovation

Set within a fragrant three-acre garden designed by landscape architect Sophie Agata Ambroise along the Route des Marres in the medieval French Riviera village of Ramatuelle, MUSE Saint Tropez is an elegant retreat for contemporary travelers. Part of YTL Hotels’ collection of distinctive properties, the boutique hotel refreshed its reception area for the 2016 season under the direction of Parisian designer Philippe Xerri. The redesign emphasizes natural wood furnishings, a mill-inspired aesthetic and turquoise hues that echo the nearby Mediterranean.

The main pool, described as a water salon, sits at the heart of the property and is framed by private cabanas and comfortable loungers, creating a calm, resort-like atmosphere. Spa treatments and massages can be enjoyed in the privacy of your suite, using products formulated through a traditional hydrolat technique that suspends fine droplets of essential oils in water for a gentle, aromatic effect.

Each of the 14 individually appointed suites at MUSE Saint Tropez is named after a famous muse and includes a private terrace or garden; several suites also feature their own plunge pools for added seclusion. For dining, guests can enjoy M restaurant on-site, where menus highlight fresh seafood and inventive preparations — for example, lobster paired with yuzu jelly, black radish petals and a bright citrus emulsion.

The hotel’s intimate scale, thoughtful design details and garden setting make it an appealing choice for those seeking both relaxation and proximity to the cultural charm of Ramatuelle and Saint-Tropez. Whether lounging by the water salon, receiving an in-suite spa treatment or dining on refined seafood dishes, visitors will find a composed, contemporary take on Riviera living.
