Travelers who rely on Kayak for booking flights, hotels, or car rentals will soon find the experience more direct and personalized. The travel search engine has integrated its site-based chat with Facebook Messenger, aiming to combine Messenger’s conversational interface with Kayak’s search capabilities.
On Kayak’s website, visitors can now use a chat feature to request travel suggestions in a conversational way. Instead of entering travel dates and scrolling through long lists of results, users can pose a single question and receive a concise set of tailored options. This approach streamlines the decision process and helps narrow choices more quickly.
The chat option is especially helpful for travelers in time-sensitive situations—such as a short layover or arriving in an unfamiliar city without a confirmed place to stay. Fast replies and brief, focused recommendations make it easier to resolve urgent needs. Kayak launched the chat feature in late June, and while it already improves speed and clarity, users are advised to keep queries precise as the system continues to be refined.
