Stay Awhile: Cozy Rental Tips to Make Guests Feel at Home

WHEN YOU FLY WITH TAP AIR PORTUGAL, experience two destinations for the price of one with the Portugal Stopover program.

Introduced in September 2016, the Portugal Stopover program lets travelers spend up to five nights in Lisbon or Porto at no extra airfare cost on their way to a final destination.

Booking a stopover is straightforward. On TAP’s website, enter your origin and final destination, then choose whether to stop in Lisbon or Porto. Select whether the stopover will be on the outbound or inbound leg and indicate the number of nights you wish to stay (up to five). Travelers departing from TAP’s North American gateways — New York (JFK and EWR), Boston, Miami, Toronto and, as of June 2019, Chicago, Washington D.C., and San Francisco — can add a Portugal Stopover on itineraries to destinations across Europe and Africa. The stopover option is available in both economy and business class and applies to bookings made directly with TAP or through travel agencies.

The program enhances your trip with local partnerships: many hotels offer special rates for stopover guests, some restaurants include complimentary bottles of wine, and selected tours and experiences are discounted for participants.

To make the most of the stopover, download the Portugal Stopover app. The app syncs with your itinerary, confirms your stopover status and guides you to participating hotels, restaurants and experiences that provide exclusive perks for stopover visitors.
