Hyatt Hotels has announced a major expansion across the Middle East and the Gulf Cooperation Council with signed management agreements for 14 new Hyatt-branded properties. The new portfolio spans Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Centric, Hyatt Place and Hyatt House, and will significantly increase the company’s regional footprint.
Currently, Hyatt operates 14 hotels in the Middle East and GCC. With the planned openings, the brand’s presence in the region is expected to double over the next few years, bringing a broader range of Hyatt experiences to business and leisure travelers alike.
“Today’s announcement marks a significant milestone for Hyatt — the introduction of the Hyatt Centric brand to the Middle East. The growth opportunity in this region is a testament to the global appeal of Hyatt’s entire brand portfolio as it continues to expand worldwide and offer more choices to our guests,” said Peter Norman, senior vice president of development at Hyatt.
Planned Park Hyatt openings include Park Hyatt Riyadh and Park Hyatt Doha. Park Hyatt Riyadh will be located near two of the city’s defining landmarks, the Kingdom Center and Al Faisaliah Center, and will feature 275 rooms, highly personalized service, curated art and design, and refined culinary offerings. Park Hyatt Doha will deliver a personalized luxury stay with two signature restaurants, a terrace lounge and approximately 21,520 square feet of meeting and event space, catering to upscale travelers and events.
The Grand Hyatt pipeline includes Grand Hyatt Kuwait and Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Residences Emirates Pearl. Grand Hyatt Kuwait is designed to reflect the brand’s hallmark grandeur and will offer a wide range of curated experiences within 360 MALL, an established luxury-shopping destination. Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Residences Emirates Pearl will be a striking mixed-use development in central Abu Dhabi, rising to 47 stories and set to become a prominent city landmark.
Hyatt Regency properties in development include Hyatt Regency Jeddah and Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla, both aimed at serving regional business, leisure and conference markets with Hyatt Regency’s signature blend of service and amenities.
The Hyatt Centric brand is being introduced to the region with projects such as Hyatt Centric The Palm Dubai and Hyatt Centric West Bay Doha, bringing a more lifestyle-oriented and locally inspired hotel option for modern travelers. The wider development slate also includes additional Hyatt Place and Hyatt House properties that will expand midscale and extended-stay choices for guests seeking convenience and consistent quality.
This strategic expansion reflects Hyatt’s commitment to meeting growing demand across the Middle East and GCC by offering a diversified portfolio of brands that range from luxury to lifestyle and select-service hotels. With these projects, Hyatt aims to provide travelers with more localized experiences, enhanced meeting and event capabilities, and a wider selection of accommodation across key urban and resort destinations in the region.
As these properties progress from agreement signing to construction and opening, they will strengthen Hyatt’s regional presence and offer more options for guests, owners and local communities seeking international hospitality standards combined with distinctive design and service.
