If your work brings you to Abu Dhabi for an extended stay this summer, consider the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel and Resort’s new “Fit for Life” program.
Launching on July 1, the two-month program offers a membership for AED 999 (about $270) per person. Each member receives 26 passes to the hotel’s fitness center and is entered into a friendly competition to determine who can achieve the largest percentage reduction in body fat.
“Fit for Life is much more than a summer gym membership,” said Mohamed El Morshedy, manager of Sheraton Fitness. “We are building a community of like-minded people who want to change old habits and improve their health.”
The hotel’s fitness center is fitted with a wide selection of weight machines and the latest TechnoGym cardio equipment. Facilities include a sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, and club trainers provide individualized fitness plans tailored to each member’s goals.
“We welcome people of all ages, shapes and fitness levels,” Morshedy added. “To keep the competition fair, results are judged by the percentage of body fat lost over the two months. This approach rewards the greatest relative improvements rather than simply the largest raw weight loss.”
Participants benefit from structured support, professional guidance and access to full spa facilities, making the program suitable for anyone seeking measurable, sustainable change during their time in the city. The emphasis on percentage-based body fat reduction promotes healthy, personalized progress and encourages long-term habit changes rather than short-term dieting.
With its comprehensive equipment, spa amenities and personalized training, the Sheraton’s Fit for Life program is aimed at visitors and residents alike who want a focused, results-driven fitness experience while in Abu Dhabi this summer.
