Tenerife 2025: Top New Attractions, Events & Travel Updates

Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands, is inviting travelers in 2025 to discover refreshed hotels and an expanding scene of Michelin-starred dining. Recent renovations and reopenings combined with new culinary additions make the island an appealing destination for families, couples and food lovers.

Several notable hotel reopenings and refurbishments are scheduled for 2025. The Cleopatra Palace Hotel Tenerife will reopen after a full renovation; this family-friendly resort lies just steps from El Camisón Beach and offers more than 400 guest rooms. The historic Gran Hotel Taoro, originally opened 134 years ago as one of Spain’s first luxury hotels, will reopen in April following a careful restoration that preserves the building’s heritage while updating its 199 rooms and suites with modern comforts. Hotel Parque San Antonio marks its 60th anniversary with a series of improvements unveiled in winter 2025, and Hotel Occidental Santa Cruz Contemporáneo completes a full refurbishment by summer 2025. Across these properties, guests can expect upgraded public spaces, refreshed accommodation and enhanced guest experiences.

At the Royal Hideaway Corales Hotel, Il Bocconcino by Royal Hideaway showcases contemporary Italian cuisine alongside the hotel’s other acclaimed dining venues. Restaurante Donaire, located in Hotel GF Victoria, earned one Michelin star for a creative menu influenced by French techniques and local ingredients.

“We’re excited to welcome travelers in the new year with exceptional hotel reopenings, Michelin-star dining, and unforgettable experiences,” said Dimple Melwani, CEO of Tenerife Tourism. “From world-class cuisine to vibrant local traditions, Tenerife offers a wide range of experiences for every visitor.
