Step back into the glamour of the 1920s at the fourth annual Deco on the Delaware celebration, formerly known as Jazz Age on the Delaware, taking place Aug. 4.
This lively fundraiser is hosted on the historic Glen Foerd estate from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to arrive dressed in their best 1920s-inspired attire. Proceeds support local environmental education programs, making the event both entertaining and meaningful.
Throughout the day, enjoy live music, costume contests, dining, cocktails and dancing along the banks of the Delaware River. Bring a picnic to relax on the grounds and take in the scenic river views, or explore the estate for special activities and exhibitions.
Costume participants have a chance to win prizes and bragging rights with awards such as Most Fashionable Flapper and Most Dapper Gent. Before the contest, stop inside the mansion for hair and makeup demonstrations, or join a guided tour to view period artwork and learn more about the estate’s history.
Children under 12 receive free admission. General admission is $45, with upgraded options available—Picnic, Speakeasy and River Cruise packages offer an enhanced Deco experience. For ticket options and additional event details, consult the event’s official information.
