Travelers at Saint James Paris can now enjoy a fresh perspective on the hotel’s celebrated gardens by staying in one of two newly opened private Pavilion Rooms set in the chateau’s former gatehouses. Each Pavilion features a private terrace and an in-room spa. The full renovation was led by interior designer Laura Gonzalez, who also designed the hotel and its adjacent villa.

“Staying in the Pavilions is like experiencing your own private cottage in central Paris,” said Laure Pertusier, general manager at Saint James Paris. “These rooms allow guests to enjoy the gardens in complete privacy while remaining just steps from the hotel’s five-star services.”
A private garden path leads directly to each Pavilion’s terrace. The accommodations span roughly 860 square feet over three floors and include a living room, a primary bedroom with en-suite shower, a private spa area with a large jet bathtub and a dry sauna, a pull-out sofa, and an exercise bike.

The two Pavilions are named Elise and Félicie, in tribute to Elise and Félicie Dosne. They honor the family associated with Adolphe Thiers, the former French president who commissioned the building that later became Saint James Paris. The property itself has a long history: from 1892 to 1985 the site served as a foundation supporting France’s top students before evolving into the private chateau hotel it is today.
