Introduced over the summer, the redesigned app offers a cleaner, more attractive interface that elevates the flight-booking process beyond a simple replication of the website.
The streamlined booking flow allows users to reserve a flight in under 60 seconds with just a few taps and swipes. As travelers proceed through the app, destination-themed illustrations appear to enhance the experience and convey a sense of place. During check-in and seat selection, passengers receive their boarding pass instantly on their device, which can be scanned at the gate and removes the need to print documents before travel.
Beyond real-time booking and mobile boarding passes, Virgin America has teamed up with Spotify to provide curated music playlists delivered to passengers’ devices. These destination-inspired playlists are designed to set the tone for the trip and create a more immersive journey from the moment travelers begin planning.
