Lounge membership provider Priority Pass has reached a major milestone by adding its 1,000th airport lounge to the network. The company has expanded rapidly, bringing 130 new lounges online in the past 12 months alone.
Growth has been particularly strong across the Asia Pacific region, where 32 lounges joined this year. That total includes 11 new lounges in China and additional openings across Indonesia, Taiwan, Myanmar, Cambodia, New Zealand and Australia.
In Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Priority Pass added 69 new partner lounges: 47 in Europe, 12 in Africa and 10 in the Middle East. Russia also contributed to the expansion, with 31 new lounges opening in cities such as Moscow, Vladivostok and Novosibirsk.
Founded in 1992, Priority Pass was created to give frequent travelers access to independent airport lounges without requiring a premium airline ticket. The service offers multiple membership tiers to suit different travel habits and budgets, allowing members to use participating lounges around the world. While other companies provide similar services, Priority Pass highlights the breadth of its network, emphasizing its presence in more lounges, cities and countries than competing programs.
The continued rollout reflects growing demand for comfortable pre-flight spaces and services for travelers seeking quiet, work-friendly or restful environments while waiting for flights. As airport infrastructure and passenger numbers evolve, lounge networks like Priority Pass are extending their reach to meet diverse traveler needs across regions and airport types.
