The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is set to open its first hotel in Mumbai, India’s entertainment, commercial and financial hub. Slated to welcome guests in 2017, the 238-room property will sit along the Arabian Sea coastline in Worli — a vibrant neighborhood known for its social scene and convenient access to Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
The new hotel will offer a range of amenities designed for both leisure and business travelers. Highlights include an ocean-view bar, two specialty and fine-dining restaurants, a Ritz-Carlton spa and extensive meeting and event facilities. With its prime waterfront location and contemporary design, the property aims to deliver the signature luxury and service The Ritz-Carlton is known for.
“We have been searching for the perfect location for a premier hotel in Mumbai for several years,” said Herve Humler, president and chief operating officer of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. “This site offers everything hotel guests could want — a prime business location, stylish and contemporary design in this historically rich and vibrant city.”
The Ritz-Carlton, Mumbai will mark the brand’s second hotel in India, following the recent opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore in Karnataka.
