Hilton Paris Opera has reopened after an extensive renovation that refreshes the hotel’s historic grandeur with a modern, elegant design.
Situated in the heart of Paris’s Right Bank Opera district, just a short walk from the Champs-Élysées, the property underwent a $50 million refurbishment aimed at restoring the building’s original splendor dating back to its opening in 1889. Led by the design firm Richmond International, the project updated all 268 guestrooms and suites and reimagined public areas, including the majestic Le Grand Salon, several bars and restaurants, and the meeting and event spaces. The redesign balances respect for the hotel’s rich history with contemporary touches that appeal to today’s travelers.
Simon Vincent, executive vice president and president for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Hilton Worldwide, commented on the reopening: “France remains Europe’s leading inbound tourism market, and Paris continues to be one of the world’s most important destinations. We are pleased to reintroduce one of Hilton’s most distinguished hotels following a refined renovation that will make Hilton Paris Opera a welcoming place for both Parisians and international guests.”
The renovation focused on enhancing comfort and style while preserving architectural character. Guestrooms feature updated furnishings, refined materials, and modern amenities designed to meet contemporary expectations without compromising the building’s historic identity. Public spaces were carefully curated to create an inviting atmosphere for dining, socializing and events, reinforcing the hotel’s role as a social and cultural hub in the Opera district.
With its central location and renewed facilities, Hilton Paris Opera aims to attract a broad mix of visitors—from leisure travelers exploring Paris’s landmarks to business guests and event attendees seeking elegant meeting spaces. The refreshed food and beverage outlets provide new options for both hotel guests and local residents, reinforcing the hotel’s connection to the surrounding neighborhood.
By combining thoughtful restoration with contemporary design, the refurbished Hilton Paris Opera seeks to offer a seamless blend of historic charm and modern comfort, ensuring the property remains a notable presence among Paris’s grand hotels.
