Westin Denver Airport Prepares for Grand Opening Near TSA & Gates

As it prepares to open in the last quarter of 2015, the Westin Denver International Airport—part of the new hotel and transit center—is poised to be a standout destination. Leading the property is General Manager Tom Curley, who brings extensive local experience, including 12 years as General Manager of the Westin Denver Downtown and service as Area Managing Director for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Colorado.

Featuring dramatic glass curtain walls and sweeping architecture that evokes the form of airborne wings, the hotel offers sweeping views of the Rocky Mountains. The property houses 519 guestrooms and suites, an 11th-floor swimming pool, expansive meeting facilities, and a 10,000-square-foot pre-function space framed by a 1,000-foot-wide glass wall.

Design firm Gensler led the project, incorporating Westin’s hallmark amenities such as the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio, Heavenly Beds, and SuperFoodsRx menu options across multiple dining venues. Located adjacent to the hotel, the new RTD East Rail train station will link guests to downtown Denver when it opens in spring 2016. A public plaza beside the complex is planned to host year-round programming, including concerts, farmers’ markets, and arts events.
