Emirates Opens New Lounge at Rome Fiumicino Airport

Emirates has opened a new lounge at Rome Fiumicino Airport. The facility is located on level 2 of Terminal 3, close to gates E22–E24, and replaces the carrier’s previous lounge that was situated after passport control in the airside transit area.

The new 950-square-meter lounge is positioned in a more convenient part of the terminal, allowing eligible passengers to board directly from the lounge area. With runway views and modern design, the space is intended to streamline the departure experience and offer a comfortable environment before flights.

Seating capacity is provided for 162 guests, with a mix of formal and relaxed seating options to suit different needs. The lounge features a dining area with hot and cold buffet selections, shower facilities, a dedicated prayer room, and a business center equipped for work and connectivity.

Access to the lounge is available to Emirates first- and business-class passengers as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold members. Silver and Blue members have the option to purchase lounge access when needed.

Mohammed Mattar, divisional senior vice president for airport services at Emirates, said the lounge represents an investment of over $4.5 million and reflects the airline’s commitment to delivering high levels of comfort and convenience both on the ground and in the air.

This opening brings the total number of Emirates lounges worldwide to 42, expanding one of the largest airline lounge networks globally. Emirates plans to continue opening new lounges and refurbishing existing facilities to enhance the customer experience.
