Global hotel company Jumeirah Group will add a new luxury resort in Muscat, Oman, to its portfolio. Scheduled to open in 2017, the resort will be set in the scenic cove of Bandar Jissah, tucked between the Hajar Mountains and the Gulf of Oman. The development consists of two distinct hotel components: one with 206 guestrooms and the other with 106 guestrooms. The property sits approximately 15 minutes south of Muscat’s city center and about 40 minutes from Seeb International Airport (MCT).
Once complete, the resort will offer a range of amenities designed for both leisure and business travelers. Facilities will include a dive center, multiple recreational options, diverse food and beverage outlets, a full-service spa, a children’s club and dedicated meeting and event spaces. These features aim to combine authentic Omani coastal charm with Jumeirah’s signature luxury service.
“As we continue to expand the Jumeirah brand across the Middle East, we bring our exceptional quality of service to loyal guests in new markets, helping them to discover the very best in luxury hospitality and the beauty of emerging destinations like the Omani coastline,” said Gerald Lawless, president and CEO of Jumeirah Group. The announcement underlines the group’s commitment to growth in the region and to showcasing distinctive locations through high-end hospitality offerings.
Jumeirah Group currently operates 22 luxury properties and serviced apartments worldwide, including 11 across the Gulf region, six in Europe and five in Asia. This new resort in Muscat strengthens the company’s presence in the Middle East and broadens its selection of coastal destinations for travelers seeking premium experiences.
