Luxury Ocean, River, Yacht & Air Journeys with Crystal Cruises

Crystal Cruises has announced an ambitious expansion to become the only hospitality brand offering luxury experiences across ocean, expedition, river, yacht and air travel. Over the next three years the company plans to introduce new vessels and classes of cruising alongside its own Boeing 787 Dreamliner, creating an integrated portfolio that covers virtually every style of upscale travel.

“We continue to think bigger, aiming to create unparalleled luxury experiences and adventures for our loyal and new guests, who — like Crystal — continue to seek broader horizons and new perspectives on the world,” said Edie Rodriguez, president and CEO of Crystal Cruises. “We are ecstatic to continue pioneering new areas of luxury travel. Crystal’s newly expanded fleet will truly be travelers’ passport to virtually the entire world.”

The rollout of Crystal’s new offerings is scheduled to begin at the end of 2015. By 2017 the company will introduce Crystal Luxury Air, positioning itself as the first luxury travel provider to offer extravagant around-the-world journeys aboard a twin-aisle Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Each aircraft will accommodate 60 passengers in fully reclining business-class seats and will serve destinations that are typically not reachable by nonstop service on major carriers.

Designed for discerning travelers, each 28-day itinerary on Crystal Luxury Air will include 10–12 carefully chosen stops, combining remote and highly sought-after locations with overnight stays at some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts. The concept emphasizes a seamless, all-inclusive approach to luxury travel: thoughtfully curated destinations, elevated onboard service and coordinated ground arrangements ensure a smooth, enriching journey from departure to return.

Beyond air travel, Crystal’s broader expansion includes new ships and distinct cruise classes aimed at diversifying the ways guests can experience luxury at sea. These developments reflect a deliberate strategy to offer a full spectrum of high-end travel options—whether guests prefer classic ocean voyages, expedition-style exploration, intimate river cruises, private yacht charters, or exclusive air-based itineraries.

Crystal’s plan highlights the growing demand for curated, experiential travel that blends comfort with discovery. By integrating air and sea operations and introducing new vessel classes, the company aims to deliver seamless transitions between modes of travel, enhanced personalization, and access to destinations that were previously difficult to visit on a single, cohesive journey.

As the luxury travel landscape evolves, Crystal’s approach seeks to set a new standard by uniting multiple travel formats under one brand. The expanded fleet and the introduction of Crystal Luxury Air are intended to offer clients a wider range of finely tuned options for exploring the world—each designed to meet high expectations for quality, service and unique experiences.

With this expansion, Crystal positions itself to serve travelers looking for comprehensive, curated adventures. Whether exploring polar regions on an expedition ship, drifting along historic rivers, cruising on a private yacht, or flying to remote locales on a dedicated Dreamliner, guests can expect consistent attention to detail and the high level of service that defines luxury travel.

Crystal’s timetable and product rollout underscore a commitment to innovation in luxury hospitality. By combining new ship classes, diverse cruising formats and the unique proposition of an around-the-world Dreamliner service, the company aims to provide a cohesive, elevated travel offering that appeals to those seeking both comfort and authentic exploration.
