The Swag, a 14-room luxury retreat bordering Great Smoky Mountains National Park and about 50 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina, is marking the 30th anniversary of National Park & Recreation Month with a special nature-focused package.
The “A Walk In The Park” premium package includes:

- Hikes and Hollers with trail expert and songwriter Doug Peters (July 3–14)
- Nature walks and watercolor classes with artist and hiker Gay Bryant (July 11–19)
- Guided hikes led by naturalist and elk expert Esther Blakely, a certified interpretive presenter for the National Park (July 19–24 and July 27–31)
- A packed lunch suitable for taking on the trail
- A nature-inspired dinner for two featuring mountain trout from Sunburst Trout Farms in the Pisgah National Forest

“We are just a few steps from Great Smoky Mountains National Park and have access to 14 trails which offer some of the best hiking, bird watching, wildflower viewing and wildlife spotting in the country,” said Brooks Bradbury, general manager of The Swag.
The package starts at $495 per night with a two-night minimum and includes breakfast, packed lunch and evening hors d’oeuvres. Suite and cabin rates are available as alternatives to standard rooms.
