Emirates Restarts Flights to Tripoli — Latest Routes & Schedules

Emirates has resumed passenger flights to Tripoli, Libya (TIP) for the first time in over two years. The airline now operates a three-times-weekly service from Dubai (DXB) via a stopover in Malta (MLA) using Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. This reinstated route reconnects Tripoli not only with Dubai but also with Emirates’ global network of more than 130 destinations.

Adil Al Ghaith, vice president of commercial operations for northern and western Africa at Emirates, noted that early booking figures indicate solid demand. He emphasized that restoring the Tripoli service will open new market opportunities and support business and international trade to and from Libya. The relaunch aligns with signs of healthy economic recovery in the country and aims to facilitate improved connectivity for passengers and cargo alike.

Emirates continues to expand its reach, operating a fleet of 201 aircraft to 134 destinations across 74 countries on six continents. The return to Tripoli reflects the carrier’s strategy to restore and enhance connections as conditions allow, offering travelers greater access to regional and long-haul itineraries through Dubai and beyond.

The three-times-weekly schedule via Malta provides travelers from Tripoli with convenient onward connections across Emirates’ network, while also offering passengers from Dubai and other points of origin direct access to Libya. The use of the Boeing 777-200ER ensures a consistent passenger experience and capacity appropriate for the market as demand rebuilds.

With the relaunch, businesses in Libya can expect improved opportunities for international trade and travel, including more reliable links for cargo movement and passenger services. For travelers, the reinstated route simplifies travel planning by providing established connections to a wide range of global destinations via Emirates’ Dubai hub.
