Brussels Airlines Unveils Upgraded Long‑Haul Cabin Experience

Brussels Airlines is refreshing the long-haul cabins on its A330 fleet with a modern interior that introduces a new premium economy cabin, fully flat two-meter beds in business class, and a walk-up bar offering eight Belgian beers.

The airline is refurbishing its entire A330 fleet and will take delivery of seven additional A330s from Airbus this year, all fitted with the updated cabins. The first aircraft featuring the new interior will enter service in April on an African route; Brussels Airlines has not yet specified the exact destination.

Brussels Airlines partnered with JPA Design to create an interior inspired by Belgian Art Nouveau. The redesign emphasizes refined materials and details, and includes ambient lighting that adapts to different phases of flight to enhance comfort and atmosphere.

Business Class passengers will benefit from several premium touches beyond the two-meter fully flat beds. In addition to the self-serve bar, the airline will offer a curated selection of Belgian wines, specialty coffees, and premium Neuhaus chocolates. Meals will include a four-course option developed by Michelin-starred Belgian chef Thierry Theys of restaurant Nuance, paired with international wines and Laurent Perrier Champagne.

The Intercontinental Business Class cabin will feature 30 seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, ensuring direct aisle access for every passenger. Couples or companions traveling together will be able to choose a pair of adjacent seats designed to function as a double.

Christina Foerster, CEO of Brussels Airlines, said the airline is continually improving comfort both on board and on the ground. With this investment in long-haul travel experience, Brussels Airlines reinforces its commitment to delivering an exceptional passenger experience, drawing inspiration from the service and ambiance of the finest boutique hotels for the new Intercontinental Business Class.
