On Feb. 6, Iberia celebrated the arrival of its sixth Airbus A330, named Miami, when the aircraft landed in its namesake city that afternoon. This A330 is the third in the airline’s updated corporate livery and logo.
The aircraft introduces newly designed business and economy cabins. Business-class travelers now enjoy fully flat beds in individual pods that provide greater space, improved privacy and direct aisle access from every seat. Economy-class seats have been upgraded to be larger and more ergonomic, with additional legroom. Both cabins feature personal entertainment screens stocked with movies, TV shows, music and games. The business-class screens measure 15.4 inches. A WiFi service enabling passengers to connect online and send messages from their devices will be available soon.
Passenger feedback on the refreshed interiors has been positive. Recent surveys indicate a 17 percent improvement in perceived quality since the redesign, and recommendations for Iberia have increased by 31.2 percent.
The airline operates two daily flights between Miami (MIA) and Madrid (MAD).
