Soho House Chicago, the newest hotel and members’ club from London-based Soho House Group, opens on August 11 in Chicago’s West Loop. Housed in the former manufacturing center of the Chicago Belting Factory, the six‑floor historic building dates back to 1907 and preserves much of its industrial character while offering modern amenities.
Founded in 1995 as a private members’ club for film and media professionals, Soho House has since evolved into a global hospitality brand with restaurants, cinemas, spas and hotels. Soho House Chicago is the group’s fifth North American location, joining properties in New York, Miami Beach, West Hollywood and Toronto.
The Chicago location features multiple public spaces designed for both members and locals. The Allis serves as a neighborhood gathering point with a relaxed lounge area and an all‑day café ideal for coffee, casual meetings and informal dining. For outdoor dining, Pizza East and Chicken Shop each offer al fresco seating along Green Street, bringing vibrant street-level energy to the block.
Wellness and relaxation are central to the guest experience. Cowshed Spa provides five treatment rooms, manicure and pedicure stations, and a retail area for skincare and wellness products. The on‑site gym includes a boxing ring, modern strength and cardio equipment, two dedicated fitness studios and a steam room, supporting a wide range of workout preferences.
The hotel offers 40 guestrooms in a variety of sizes and configurations, blending comfort with the building’s historic details. Several exclusive spaces are reserved for members and registered guests: a 40‑seat Screening Room for film viewings and presentations, the Belt Room for private events, and a Club floor that includes a drawing room, a circular bar and a casual dining venue.
On the rooftop, The Roof provides a signature outdoor experience with a 60‑foot swimming pool and additional al fresco dining. The pool and rooftop amenities create a social hub with views over the West Loop, suitable for relaxation, small gatherings and seasonal events.
