Spanish discount airline Level sold 52,000 tickets on its first day of sales, offering intercontinental fares from as low as $250 each way. As with other low-cost carriers, those initial low prices reflected a basic fare that covers only the seat and transportation; additional services are available for purchase.
Prepaid add-ons include in-flight meals and entertainment. Meal bundles — which provide two meals per passenger (dinner and breakfast, or lunch and dinner) — are priced at €35 per flight. Passengers can also buy an assortment of snacks and beverages during the flight.
Level does not include lounge access, priority boarding, or checked baggage in its base fare. One carry-on bag is permitted, but checking luggage incurs additional fees.
Based near Barcelona, the green-and-blue carrier operates long-haul routes from the Catalonian capital to Oakland (OAK), Los Angeles (LAX), Buenos Aires (EZE) and Punta Cana (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic.
