This January, The Leinster opens its doors in the heart of Dublin as the city’s first luxury lifestyle hotel on the historic Merrion Square. The hotel debuts alongside Jean – Georges at The Leinster, an elegant rooftop restaurant overlooking the city center. Designed by Dublin-based architects ODAA and ODonnell O’Neill Design, the property honors Dublin’s architectural heritage while introducing a contemporary hospitality experience.

Situated just steps from the National Museum of Ireland, MoLi, the National Gallery of Ireland, Trinity College and the Oscar Wilde House, The Leinster is an ideal base for travelers who want to explore Dublin’s cultural landmarks. Merrion Square itself is steeped in literary history; it was once frequented by icons such as James Joyce and W.B. Yeats in the early 20th century, and the hotel’s location places guests in the middle of that creative legacy.
The Leinster offers 55 guestrooms and suites, a rooftop restaurant, The Collins Club bar and supper club, a gym and a thermal suite. Jean – Georges at The Leinster is led by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, marking his first restaurant in Ireland after acclaimed venues in London, New York, Paris and Kyoto. The menu blends Irish classics with French and Southeast Asian influences, emphasizing locally sourced ingredients. Guests can enjoy an extensive list of curated wines and cocktails against panoramic views of Dublin, with service for breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner.

Guestrooms are designed with attention to detail, featuring custom cabinetry, bold color palettes, luxurious velvets and graphic patterns that create a refined yet comfortable atmosphere. Distinctive wallpaper, deep-hued tiles and intricately designed headboards contribute to each room’s warm, inviting character.
Art plays a central role throughout the hotel: more than 300 original paintings by over 80 artists are displayed across the property, creating a curated collection that complements the building’s design and enriches the guest experience.
