Beginning this month and continuing through the spring, Virgin Atlantic Airways will introduce four Airbus A330-200 aircraft into its fleet, each featuring upgrades designed to enhance the passenger experience, with particular attention to Upper Class travelers.
Each A330-200 will accommodate 287 passengers: 19 Upper Class seats, 46 Economy Extra seats with additional legroom, and 222 Economy seats. All cabins are equipped with updated in-flight entertainment systems offering more than 600 hours of music, movies, TV shows, and games.
Upper Class passengers can choose from three distinct new seating options: the Love Suite, designed for couples or companions traveling together; the Freedom Solo Suite, which provides direct-aisle access; and the Corner Solo Suite, which emphasizes additional privacy. These Upper Class areas benefit from full WiFi connectivity enabled by Panasonic technology upgrades, a premium coffee menu, and a refreshed amenity kit that includes a pair of Happy Socks.
The first routes to operate with the A330-200 will be from Manchester (MAN) in the United Kingdom to New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), San Francisco (SFO), and Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI).
