LOT and Frankfurt Airport Mark Landmark Anniversary Celebration

LOT Polish Airlines and Frankfurt Airport recently marked the 50th anniversary of LOT’s inaugural flight between Warsaw and Frankfurt. Since the route began on Sept. 7, 1965, Frankfurt has become one of the carrier’s most important European destinations.

Today LOT operates the Warsaw–Frankfurt service three times daily. While the connection originally used Ilyushin Il-18 aircraft, the route is now served with modern Embraer 170, 175 and 195 jets. These aircraft feature three cabin options: LOT Business, LOT Premium Economy and LOT Economy, providing passengers with a range of comfort and price choices.

The current schedule maintains frequent travel options for both business and leisure travelers. Departures from Warsaw are scheduled at 7:45 a.m., 5:05 p.m. and 8:15 p.m., while flights from Frankfurt leave at 7:30 a.m., 10:35 a.m. and 7:50 p.m. The timetable supports convenient connections to the carrier’s broader network and aligns with typical business travel windows.

As a member of the Star Alliance, LOT connects passengers through Frankfurt’s extensive international hub, offering onward connections and coordinated services for seamless transfers. The long-standing Warsaw–Frankfurt link reflects LOT’s continued commitment to reliable, frequent service on one of its flagship European routes.
