Spring is approaching, and with it comes the expected opening of Viceroy Los Cabos, a contemporary luxury beachfront resort set to debut in San José del Cabo on the outer edge of Baja California Sur.
Viceroy Hotel Group has assumed management of the former Hotel Mar Adentro and will relaunch the property under its modern, design-focused brand. The resort’s striking architecture will be preserved and enhanced, with upgrades that include a newly designed arrival experience, a beach bar, an expanded pool area, and a state-of-the-art fitness center and spa.
Viceroy Los Cabos will feature 194 guestrooms, suites, and villas, plus 50 private residences. On-site amenities will include a cinema room, flexible meeting spaces, multiple restaurants and bars, and the new pool complex. Located just minutes from downtown San José del Cabo, the resort provides convenient access to the town’s colonial architecture, vibrant art scene, and varied dining options. Outdoor activities are plentiful in the region, from Pacific whale-watching excursions and swimming at the La Paz lagoon to exploring the pristine beaches and marine life of Cabo Pulmo National Park.
The resort’s opening will coincide with the 2018 Gala de Danza, a spirited dance and music festival that celebrates artistic expression and creativity.
