Arrival/Check-In: After more than 13 hours in the air from İstanbul, I arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills and was immediately impressed by the warm, efficient welcome. While I swiped my credit card in the taxi, staff had already taken my luggage inside and the front-desk attendant was pulling up my reservation. The doorman greeted me with a broad smile and held the door; within minutes I was escorted to the elevators. Because I needed a quick shower before meeting family for dinner, I brought my bags to the room, though staff were ready to assist. On the way to my suite I had my first celebrity sighting — the canine model for a well-known pet food brand lounged calmly while handlers spoke with the concierge.
Guest Quarters: My deluxe balcony room was comfortable and well suited to a short, one-night stay. French doors opened onto a private balcony with views over Los Angeles, which was useful when I worked for a bit before leaving the next morning. When the shades were opened, natural light filled the room.
Immediately to the left on entering was a spacious bathroom. One area offered two separate counters — one with a sink and plenty of surface space for toiletries, and a second counter with a mirror across the room that worked well for hair and makeup. Beyond this space were the tub, stall shower and toilet, all tucked behind a door that provides privacy for multiple guests or families.
The king-size bed was flanked by nightstands, each featuring an iPod docking station and lamps with built-in electrical outlets — a convenient touch. After a long flight and a quick dinner, I appreciated how comfortably the bed welcomed me and I slept deeply. The room also included a long dresser/minibar/armoire combination topped with black marble and a flat-screen TV mounted above. The desk, fitted with ample outlets, featured an iPad with the hotel’s interactive guest experience technology. An armchair beside a small table and floor lamp created a cozy reading nook.
Services/Amenities: My stay was too brief to try everything the hotel offers, but I enjoyed breakfast at Culina, the on-site modern Italian restaurant that also serves lunch and dinner. In-room dining and a poolside cabana restaurant provide other dining choices.
Additional amenities include a fitness center, full-service spa and business center. The property offers complimentary WiFi, luxury car transportation within a two-mile radius, bottled water provided at turndown, and a morning lobby service with coffee, tea, muffins and fruit available daily from 5 a.m. to 8 a.m. Meeting and event spaces are also available for business and social gatherings.
The Experience: In one line: I wish I had stayed longer to fully enjoy the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
