Oenophiles take note: tickets for Auction Napa Valley 2014 are now on sale. Act quickly — last year’s event sold out in record time.
The celebrated annual charity wine event hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners runs this year from June 5–7. The weekend highlights Napa’s vineyards, scenic views and exceptional wines. You can join for a single day or book the three-day Complete Auction Napa Valley Experience, which includes Saturday’s Live Auction Celebration.
The centerpiece of Auction Napa Valley is Saturday’s Live Auction Celebration, held on the grounds of Meadowood Napa Valley. The day begins with a relaxed alfresco lunch prepared by some of Napa Valley’s most notable chefs, including Stephen Barber, Michael Chiarello, Curtis DeFede, Thomas Keller, Cindy Pawlcyn, Richard Reddington, Brandon Sharp, Hiro Sone, Jude Wilmoth, Tracy Wood Anderson, Chris Kollar and Wendy Sherwood. In the afternoon, the Live Auction features rare lots of Napa Valley wine and exclusive wine-related experiences. As evening falls, guests dine beneath the stars on a menu by Chef Christopher Kostow of The Restaurant at Meadowood, followed by music and dancing.
Proceeds from Auction Napa Valley have made a significant impact locally. To date, the Napa Valley Vintners have contributed more than $120 million from Auction Napa Valley to nonprofits in Napa County. That support has helped secure health insurance access for every child in the county, enabled Community Health Clinic Ole to serve more than 30,000 residents each year, and advanced efforts to close the educational achievement gap across Napa County.
