Travelers visiting Dublin in 2019 have a new place to stay: The Devlin, a boutique hotel in the charming Ranelagh neighborhood just outside the city. The hotel is conveniently located about a 25-minute bus ride from central Dublin, making it a practical base for both sightseeing and local exploration.
Designed for style-conscious guests who value quality over square footage, The Devlin offers 40 thoughtfully appointed rooms in a variety of compact layouts. The smallest rooms, called ModPods, measure 129 square feet and start at $140 per night. Slightly larger TriPods, just under 200 square feet and priced from $215 per night, are arranged with a double bed, a single bed and a bunk bed—ideal for small groups or families. All full rooms include amenities such as Nespresso machines, Smeg mini-refrigerators, curated Munchie Boxes and flat-screen TVs with Netflix.
Underneath the hotel, guests can enjoy an Art Deco–inspired cinema. The Stella Theatre Ranelagh screens a rotating selection of independent, arthouse and cult films twice daily, offering an intimate alternative to mainstream moviegoing.
On the rooftop, Layla’s restaurant provides panoramic views that stretch toward Dublin and the surrounding countryside; on clear days you can even glimpse the sea. For pre-dinner cocktails or a relaxed drink, Americana Bar offers a comfortable spot to unwind before heading back to your room for a night of Netflix and relaxation.
