Scandinavian carrier SAS has expanded its onboard menu to offer more choices that better reflect passengers’ lifestyles and dietary needs.
On flights within Europe lasting two hours or longer, SAS Go (the economy fare) now allows travelers to pre-order a range of special meals, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free and pork-free options.
Meals are packed in a compact cube inspired by takeout containers, designed to make eating convenient while working, reading or watching a movie.
Most dishes are priced at €11 each, with a vegetarian mini pizza available for €6. Passengers can place meal orders up to 18 hours before departure, either during booking through the My Bookings section on the SAS website or via a travel agent.
In addition to the special-diet selections, SAS accepts pre-orders for the Lunch of the Day, Dinner of the Day and Kid’s Meal, along with salads, sandwiches and breakfast items. Those who prefer can also purchase these options onboard without pre-ordering.
On long-haul flights to the United States and Asia, SAS provides complimentary food and beverages in all classes; passengers traveling on these routes can specify special dietary requirements in advance.
