Twilight Wine Tours in Napa Valley: Sunset Vineyard Experiences

Experience wine country in style: park the car and let the Napa Valley Wine Train carry you through California’s renowned vineyards in comfort and elegance. Housed in beautifully restored vintage Pullman rail cars with Honduran mahogany paneling, brass accents, etched glass partitions and deep, comfortable armchairs, the Wine Train offers a memorable and refined way to visit some of Napa Valley’s top wineries. Travelers can choose from daytime excursions or new evening options that blend scenic rail travel with exceptional food and wine.

New Twilight Private Tours travel to Raymond Vineyards or Grgich Hills Estate and include gourmet appetizers and curated wine tastings onboard before the vineyard visit, followed by dessert and coffee on the return trip. During the vineyard stop, guests are treated to an exclusive dinner, making this a complete evening of wine, food and atmosphere.

The Quattro Vino program presents four distinct itinerary choices. The Legacy route features tastings and tours at Robert Mondavi, Charles Krug and V. Sattui. The Estate route visits Domaine Chandon, Hall and Inglenook. The Collective route includes Raymond, Beringer and St. Supéry. A fourth route will be announced soon. Each Quattro Vino tour begins with a sparkling wine reception and continues with a four-course dinner prepared by Napa Valley Wine Train’s executive chef, Donald Young. These six-hour daytime journeys depart from the downtown Napa station at 10:15 a.m. and return at 4:15 p.m. Prices start at $329 per person and include train fare, dinner, and all winery tours and tastings.

Twilight Tours run on a limited Saturday schedule, departing at 5:45 p.m. and returning at 10:15 p.m., with tickets starting at $339 per person. The downtown Napa station is the departure point, and additional transportation options are available, including luxury coach and ferry service to and from San Francisco, for convenient access to the experience.

Whether you prefer a daytime excursion with a lingering multi-course dinner and vineyard visits or an intimate twilight experience with exclusive vineyard access, the Napa Valley Wine Train combines historic rail charm with thoughtful food and wine pairings for a polished, relaxing way to explore Napa Valley.
