New French Convention Center Opens June 2020 — Grand Opening Details

A new convention and exhibition center is scheduled to open in Toulouse, France, in June 2020. Announced in November 2018 by the Toulouse Métropole Development Agency and Toulouse Événements, the project aims to provide a modern, flexible venue to host conferences, exhibitions and large public events.

The facility will feature contemporary architecture and high-end amenities designed for a range of uses. The main complex provides 40,000 square meters of contiguous space that can be subdivided into seven separate halls to accommodate different event sizes and formats. An on-site hotel with 289 rooms will support multi-day conferences and visiting delegates, and the site includes roughly 5,000 parking spaces to ease access for attendees.

Inside the center, there will be 15,000 square meters (more than 49,000 square feet) of dedicated convention space with seating for up to 3,400 people, suitable for plenary sessions, performances and keynote presentations. Complementing the interior facilities, the project also includes 25,000 square meters (more than 82,000 square feet) of outdoor exhibition and event space. This exterior area is intended for large-scale entertainment, outdoor demonstrations and exhibitions that benefit from open-air settings.

The development is a collaborative effort involving Toulouse’s local authorities and regional partners, including the Occitanie region. The partnership seeks to highlight the region’s economic strengths and reliability by attracting national and international events. The site is conveniently reachable from central Toulouse in around 40 minutes, making it accessible for both local and visiting attendees.

Overall, the new center is positioned to strengthen Toulouse’s capacity to host major meetings and exhibitions by combining adaptable indoor halls, substantial outdoor space, integrated accommodation and ample parking, all within easy reach of the city.
