Following the example set by Icelandair, SAS Scandinavian Airlines recently introduced a new fare option aimed at travelers between Scandinavia and the United States.
Effective Dec. 14, the SAS Go Light fare offers a reduced price for passengers traveling with carry-on luggage only.
First launched on European routes in 2015, SAS Go Light proved successful and has now been extended to transatlantic services.
For added flexibility, passengers who purchase the SAS Go Light fare can add checked baggage later — they may pay the checked-bag fee any time after booking up until departure.
The SAS Go Light fare is available on SAS flights from Sweden, Denmark and Norway to major U.S. destinations including New York (EWR), Chicago (ORD), Boston (BOS), Miami (MIA), Washington, D.C. (IAD), Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO).
