Air Canada rouge has announced expanded service to Las Vegas, introducing a new Toronto (YYZ)–Las Vegas (LAS) route and confirming plans to begin Montréal (YUL)–Las Vegas flights next year. The Toronto service will operate with Boeing 767-300ER aircraft and provide 10 weekly frequencies, representing a roughly 13% increase in capacity on the route compared with last winter’s Air Canada schedules. Montréal service is scheduled to start March 13, 2014, with 10 weekly flights as well.
In addition to the new Toronto and Montréal frequencies, Air Canada rouge will continue seasonal operations to Las Vegas from Vancouver (YVR) and Calgary (YYC). The expanded network aims to offer travellers more choices and greater seat availability to Las Vegas during the winter season.
Michael Friisdahl, CEO of Air Canada Leisure Group, commented that Las Vegas appeals to a wide range of travellers and that the carrier is now offering more seats from Toronto to Las Vegas than any other airline. Customers can book competitively priced fares or opt for bundled options through Air Canada Vacations, which pair flights with a selection of Las Vegas hotels and entertainment packages.
The additional frequencies are positioned to accommodate both leisure travellers seeking short-getaway options and those interested in packaged vacations. Operating the 767-300ER on the Toronto route allows the airline to deliver increased capacity while maintaining a comfortable onboard experience for passengers.
These changes reflect a broader focus on growing leisure services to popular sun-and-entertainment destinations. By adding multiple weekly frequencies from two major Canadian gateways and sustaining service from the west coast and Alberta, Air Canada rouge is expanding its seasonal footprint and providing more flexible travel choices for customers planning trips to Las Vegas.
