Nemacolin Debuts The Chateau Luxury Resort Destination

This summer, luxury in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania’s Allegheny Mountains reaches new heights with the reopening of Nemacolin’s freshly updated hotel, The Chateau, alongside several new amenities.

Returning guests and newcomers alike will find guestrooms and suites refreshed with soft pastel color palettes, sumptuous textiles, soaking tubs, and dedicated butler service. On the Chateau Club Floor, 17 exclusive rooms await, including a lavish 2,200-square-foot Presidential Suite designed for privacy and comfort.

The Bleu Room offers a refined afternoon tea service in a space layered in blue—from custom brocades to subtle decorative accents. Specialty tea blends are presented in hand-painted porcelain teapots that complement the room’s elegant atmosphere. Nearby, the Lobby Bar has been relocated to a gleaming new setting defined by marble, brass and crystal finishes.

For evenings of craft cocktails, dinner and cabaret, Nightcap provides an intimate, stylish destination. The Smoking Lounge offers a relaxed retreat beneath the Violet Mystique Chandelier, a showpiece by glass artist Dale Chihuly. Guests with a sweet tooth can visit PJ’s Ice Cream Parlor, a nostalgic 1950s–inspired spot featuring frozen classics. Chateau stays also include access to the resort’s art studios, where guests can explore hands-on creative experiences.

“As we grow and expand Nemacolin, we are consistently inspired to elevate our accommodations and guest offerings,” said Maggie Hardy, owner and CEO. “Our commitment to our guests and members is unwavering, and this is best exhibited through the constant reimagination of the property. The Chateau was our second accommodation and is a known favorite among Nemacolin patrons and at the heart of all who experience it. For us to provide the unparalleled and luxurious service we are known for, it was imperative we reimagine the hotel’s interiors to reflect modern finishes that convey the real-life magic and whimsy we are known for.”

With careful attention to design, service and curated experiences, The Chateau’s reopening reinforces Nemacolin’s reputation as a destination for refined relaxation and memorable stays in the Laurel Highlands.
