SLS Hotels will bring its signature service, style and sophistication to the Bahamas later this year with the opening of a 300-room luxury hotel at Baha Mar, a $3.5 billion integrated resort. The SLS Hotel at Baha Mar is scheduled to welcome guests this December and will mark the brand’s first international property. It will join a diverse portfolio of upcoming hotels and resorts in Las Vegas, New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, Miami and China, as well as the brand’s existing properties in Beverly Hills and Miami Beach.
The SLS Hotel will become part of a larger resort complex that already includes prominent hotel brands. Among those confirmed for Baha Mar are a 200-room Rosewood Hotel and a 707-room Grand Hyatt, offering guests a range of luxury accommodations and experiences within one destination. The resort is designed to combine high-end hospitality with gaming, dining, wellness, and retail options to serve both leisure and business travelers.
Baha Mar’s amenities are planned to be extensive and upscale. The development will feature a Jack Nicklaus–designed golf course for avid players and scenic fairways, an ESPA Spa providing comprehensive wellness and treatment options, and a collection of luxury retail venues for shopping and lifestyle needs. Together, these elements aim to create a full-service island resort that blends the comforts of internationally recognized hotel brands with distinctive local appeal.
The arrival of SLS Hotels at Baha Mar represents a strategic expansion for the brand, extending its design-driven, service-focused approach to an international audience. The hotel is expected to offer signature dining, stylish public spaces and thoughtfully designed guest rooms that reflect SLS’s commitment to modern luxury and memorable guest experiences.
As Baha Mar prepares to open, the combination of multiple luxury hotel brands within the development positions the resort to attract a broad range of visitors, from those seeking refined spa and shopping experiences to golfers and guests drawn by the entertainment and gaming components. With the resort’s opening slated for December, travelers and industry observers are watching to see how the property shapes the Bahamas’ high-end hospitality scene.
