Swiss Expands Chicago Flights: New Routes, Schedules & Deals

This summer, travelers flying from Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport have expanded options to Europe and beyond with Swiss International Air Lines. SWISS is increasing service from Chicago from early June through the end of October with four weekly non-stop flights to Zurich, operated on A330-300 aircraft. These flights offer SWISS First, SWISS Business and SWISS Economy classes. In the premium cabins, passengers can sleep in lie-flat beds, enjoy specialty inflight dining and relax in a calm environment with a broad selection of entertainment. SWISS Economy provides strong value, friendly service and thoughtful comfort features such as adjustable headrests and flexible ear wings, helping passengers unwind while watching movies, listening to music or playing video games. Dining options include meat and vegetarian entrees, and on return flights from Switzerland passengers can savor a Swiss cheese selection featuring Emmentaler, Le Gruyère and Appenzeller, accompanied by classic Swiss chocolate.

SWISS Business : Your Personal Space

After a welcome beverage of orange juice, water or champagne, settle into SWISS Business to rest, work and dine from the privacy of your seat. An innovative air cushion system lets passengers fine-tune seat firmness for personal comfort. Seats fully recline into beds more than six feet long and include massage functions. Increased width and angled seating in 1-2-1 or 2-2-1 configurations create a relaxed onboard experience. Entertainment options include 22 films, 40 TV programs, 16 music channels, over 300 CDs and 15 video games on a personal 12.1-inch screen, along with a wide selection of newspapers and magazines. Power outlets at every seat keep devices charged throughout the journey.

Gourmet dining is a highlight of SWISS Business. Each quarter, the “A Taste of Switzerland” menus showcase regional specialties from selected Swiss regions and reflect seasonal ingredients. These award-winning menus are developed by top Swiss chefs and rotate regularly. Recent examples include Ticino-inspired dishes such as San Pietro ham roll with chive and ricotta, beef filet with a hazelnut crust in a Maggia pepper sauce, and rhubarb crème with strawberry mousse. If you prefer to rest soon after takeoff, request a light “quick meal” from the cabin crew to maximize sleep time. SWISS Business aims to deliver a relaxed, refreshed arrival.

SWISS First: Your Home In The Sky

SWISS First offers privacy, comfort and service comparable to private jet travel. Passengers benefit from priority check-in and boarding, and once onboard they can adjust seating and comfort levels individually. Seats convert to fully horizontal lie-flat beds over six feet long and include massage settings. First-class guests may also change into soft pajamas provided for additional comfort. Each seat features a private table and adjustable privacy panels, ideal for dining or working. The in-flight menu program “A Taste of Switzerland” presents exclusive dishes created by leading Swiss chefs, and à la carte selections are available as well. SWISS First focuses on refined dining and personal attention to ensure a serene, satisfying journey.

SWISS Economy: Center of Attention

SWISS Economy emphasizes value and attentive service. Comfortable seating includes adjustable headrests and flexible ear wings to help you relax. Entertainment options cover movies, TV, music and games, and meal service offers a choice between meat and vegetarian dishes, complemented by an extensive selection of wines and beverages. For a Swiss touch, economy passengers can enjoy a selection of fine cheeses—Emmentaler, Le Gruyère and Appenzeller—and, naturally, Swiss chocolate.

Across all classes of service, SWISS strives for high standards and memorable experiences. Fly SWISS for reliable service, thoughtful amenities and regional culinary highlights designed to make your journey comfortable and enjoyable. We look forward to welcoming you onboard.
