Delta Air Lines will resume nonstop service between Atlanta (ATL) and Brussels (BRU) on March 26, 2017, doubling its capacity to Belgium. Until now, Delta has operated a daily nonstop between New York (JFK) and Brussels. With the reinstated Atlanta route, Delta will offer the only nonstop connection between the two cities.
All return flights from Brussels will be operated through Delta’s transatlantic network in cooperation with Air France, KLM and Alitalia aircraft, ensuring consistent service and connections across partner carriers.
“As Brussels Airport completes the transition of airlines back to the main check-in area, we are pleased to confirm we will reinstate our Atlanta service next summer,” said Dwight James, senior vice president, trans-Atlantic, Delta Air Lines. “It has been a difficult few months for the local community, but we remain committed to Belgium and will show our support by operating two daily flights. This will benefit travelers and the local economy.”
Daily departures will leave Atlanta at 5:40 p.m., arriving in Brussels at 8:20 a.m. the next day. Return flights will depart Brussels at 11:00 a.m., arriving in Atlanta at 2:45 p.m.
The route will be served by a Boeing 767-300 configured to seat 225 passengers. All flights will offer onboard WiFi and complimentary on-demand in-flight entertainment for a more comfortable journey.
