Luxury car rental company Sixt Rent-a-Car announced last month that it will expand further in the United States with new locations in San Diego and San Antonio. Both branches are scheduled to open this fall.
“San Diego and San Antonio are two markets where we have long believed we can compete successfully and build relationships with thousands of new customers,” said Daniel Florence, co-president of Sixt USA. “Because we focus on leisure travelers, these cities are especially attractive. They are renowned vacation destinations with plenty to see and great roads to enjoy.”
Florence added that visitors to Sixt branches appreciate the brand’s energetic atmosphere—music and a lively vibe—paired with a hands-on luxury experience and attentive customer service. “At the end of the day, customers want the best cars to rent,” he said. “We’re excited to introduce the Sixt experience to new customers in these two dynamic markets.”
Sixt entered the U.S. market in 2011 and has since grown to more than 50 locations across several states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Washington, Texas, Connecticut, New Jersey, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Arizona, and Massachusetts. The company is now the fifth-largest car rental operator in the United States and operates over 4,000 locations in more than 115 countries worldwide.
