Hilton Expands Curio Collection With Five New Luxury Hotels

Curio Collection by Hilton is expanding its presence across the U.S. West with five recently opened or soon-to-open properties. The newest additions strengthen the brand’s mix of historic character, boutique style and gateway access to outdoor recreation. The new and upcoming hotels include The Chrysalis Inn & Spa Bellingham in Washington, Hotel Andaluz Albuquerque in New Mexico, Carté Hotel San Diego Downtown in California, Hoodoo Moab in Utah and Cliffrose Springdale, also in Utah.

Two hotels—The Chrysalis Inn & Spa Bellingham and Hotel Andaluz Albuquerque—joined the Curio Collection earlier this year. Both properties emphasize local character: The Chrysalis Inn & Spa provides a relaxed Pacific Northwest setting near the Salish Sea and local arts, while Hotel Andaluz Albuquerque highlights the distinctive cultural and architectural influences of its Southwestern location.

Carté Hotel San Diego Downtown and Hoodoo Moab are scheduled to join the Curio Collection in August. Carté Hotel San Diego Downtown brings boutique hospitality to the heart of San Diego with contemporary design and convenient access to the city’s dining and entertainment districts. Hoodoo Moab positions itself as a basecamp for outdoor enthusiasts, offering proximity to world-class rock climbing and hiking in the surrounding national parks and redrock landscapes.

Cliffrose Springdale will convert to the Curio Collection in September. Located near the entrance to a major National Park, Cliffrose Springdale offers easy access to trails and river activities while showcasing the region’s desert scenery. Together with Hoodoo Moab, the Cliffrose property reflects Curio’s interest in properties that connect guests to nature and active travel experiences.

Mark Nogal, global head of Curio Collection by Hilton, noted that the brand continues to focus on unique, locally inspired hotels that appeal to curious travelers. He emphasized that the new properties offer a range of experiences—from tranquil spa retreats and historic urban stays to adventurous bases for exploring rugged landscapes. Nogal also pointed out that Curio Collection’s development pipeline remains strong, with more than 60 hotels currently in various stages of planning or development worldwide.

These openings reinforce Curio Collection’s strategy of curating independent-minded hotels that reflect the stories and character of their communities. Whether guests seek cultural immersion in an urban center, relaxation at a boutique spa, or outdoor adventure near national parks, the brand’s expanding portfolio aims to deliver authentic, locally rooted stays. The new additions in Washington, New Mexico, California and Utah provide a range of lodging options that cater to different traveler interests while maintaining Curio’s emphasis on distinctive design, local food and welcoming service.

As these hotels come online over the next few months, travelers will find more opportunities to book stays that combine regional flavor with Curio Collection’s standards for quality and guest experience. The mix of historic properties and newly developed boutique hotels highlights the brand’s flexibility in adapting unique buildings and locations into thoughtfully curated guest experiences. With an active global pipeline, Curio Collection by Hilton is positioning itself to continue growing in both established and emerging destinations, meeting demand for hotels that feel authentic and place-specific.
