Inaugural Dorado Beach Culinary Getaway: Gourmet Weekend Escape

Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve and chef José Andrés present the inaugural Dorado Beach Culinary Getaway, a weekend-long gastronomic celebration. Taking place Nov. 5–7 at the Dorado Beach resort in Puerto Rico, the intimate event brings together renowned chefs for a series of interactive demonstrations, exclusive dinners and curated tastings.

The program features participation from high-profile culinary figures, with each guest chef contributing signature dishes and leading hands-on sessions. Highlights include welcome cocktails and a paella party at the resort’s restaurant, Mi Casa; a live chef cook-off with surprise guests; a rum craft cocktail class; and a relaxed beach barbecue. Attendees can also take two cooking classes led by the visiting chefs, attend a guided wine tasting and enjoy a gala dinner showcasing creations from each featured chef. The weekend concludes with a farewell Champagne brunch.

Reservations for the getaway are available through the Culinary Getaway with José Andrés & Friends package. Priced from $1,712 per night, the package covers two nights’ accommodations for two, daily continental breakfast at Mi Casa and access to all Dorado Beach Culinary Getaway events. Additional resort amenities—including golf, spa treatments and outdoor activities—can be added for an extra fee.

This event offers food enthusiasts an immersive opportunity to learn from acclaimed chefs, sample curated menus and experience a variety of culinary formats, from live demonstrations to communal dining. With limited attendance and a carefully planned schedule, the getaway emphasizes interactive learning and memorable dining experiences in a relaxed beachside setting.
