Nostalgia meets modernity with the debut of NOMO SOHO, an independent luxury hotel in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood. Formerly the Mondrian SoHo and located at 9 Crosby Street, the property honors the neighborhood’s artistic roots, cast-iron architecture and cobblestone streets while blending vintage charm with contemporary design and comfort.
NOMO — a name that blends “nostalgia” and “modern” — is a collaboration between fashion entrepreneur and Buddha Bar founder Gerard Guez and real estate firm ASRR Capital LTD. The 263-room hotel joins Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Lifestyle collection and will be managed by Graham Leslie, a hospitality executive known for launching the Conrad brand. Leslie will lead the hotel’s transformation and oversee new programming and guest services.
The guestrooms are designed to maximize light and views, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the Manhattan skyline. The property’s public spaces and dining venues will be refreshed as part of a full relaunch scheduled for later this year, introducing updated amenities, seasonal menus and curated partnerships that reflect SoHo’s creative energy. Restaurant and bar offerings will rotate through the year to keep the culinary experience fresh and aligned with local trends.
Set amid SoHo’s boutiques, art galleries and lively dining scene, NOMO SOHO aims to serve both travelers and local residents seeking a refined yet approachable destination. The hotel’s design and programming emphasize authenticity and atmosphere, drawing on SoHo’s history while offering modern hospitality standards and thoughtful touches for today’s guests.
