Through April 8, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is hosting its first global sweepstakes, the iPrefer Hotel Rewards Giveaway. Launched alongside enhancements to the iPrefer loyalty program, the sweepstakes provides members the chance to win point awards ranging from 250,000 to 1,000,000 iPrefer points, redeemable toward future hotel stays and on-property experiences.
To participate, members are invited to enter and vote for the type of hotel experience they would most like to redeem with loyalty points. Categories include adventure, beach, romance and solo travel. Each week one member will be selected in a drawing to receive 250,000 points; participants may submit one entry per week. Sharing an entry on social media can help increase visibility, and everyone who enters at least once will be eligible for the grand prize of 1,000,000 points, with the grand-prize winner expected to be announced on or about April 11.
Eligibility requires active membership in the iPrefer program. The promotion is open to residents of the continental United States, Canada (excluding Quebec), Hong Kong, Singapore, India, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Mexico, Germany and the United Arab Emirates.
For 2016 the iPrefer program has been restructured into two tiers: Insider and Elite. Members now earn 10 points per $1 spent on eligible bookings, and points can be redeemed for cash-value certificates that apply toward free nights and a range of on-property amenities and services. New benefits include complimentary upgrades when available for members at both tiers and a 50 percent bonus on points earned for Elite members on every eligible booking.
To mark the program updates, Preferred Hotels & Resorts is also running a promotional offer through May 31 that awards iPrefer members 12,500 bonus points for every stay booked via iPrefer.com.
