Plaza Premium to Open New Arrivals Lounge at London Heathrow

Lounge operator Plaza Premium Group announced that a new arrivals lounge will open in London Heathrow’s Terminal 4 in late March, with a second arrivals lounge planned for Terminal 3 later this year. These additions expand the group’s existing presence at Heathrow, which already includes an arrivals lounge in Terminal 2 that opened in 2014.

The Terminal 4 arrivals lounge will offer space for up to 75 guests and feature a main lounge and bar area, a multifunction room, and 25 luxury shower suites. Details for the proposed Terminal 3 arrivals lounge are still being finalised, with provisional plans expected to be released later in the year.

Song Hoi-see, founder and chief executive officer of Plaza Premium Group, explained the thinking behind the arrivals concept: “Arrivals lounges are intended to serve the majority. They add value not only for travellers after their flight but also for family and friends waiting to meet arrivals at the airport. Our arrivals lounges are designed to deliver convenience, comfort and value to passengers who want to recover from travel fatigue, refresh their senses and revitalise body and mind after a long journey. We aim to make every journey enjoyable both on departure and on arrival.”

Among the lounge features will be Flight Club, a food concept inspired by healthy herbs and seeds. First introduced in Kuala Lumpur last year, Flight Club encourages frequent travellers to embrace a healthier lifestyle even while on the move, offering nourishing, wellness-focused dining options.

Plaza Premium currently operates airside lounges in Terminals 2 and 4 and a landside facility in Terminal 2. The group has several additional openings planned, including a Terminal 5 airside lounge scheduled to launch in the second half of 2017.
