Vendange Carmel Inn and Suites has teamed up with 15 Monterey County, Calif., wineries to create a guest experience that celebrates the region’s vineyards. Each participating winery sponsors a specific room or suite, contributing distinctive décor and thoughtful touches that reflect their estate. For example, McIntyre Vineyards supplied a 100-year-old section of grapevine for the suite it sponsors, adding authentic vineyard history to the space. Other partner wineries include Blaire Estate, Holman Ranch Vineyards, Dawn’s Dream, Galante, J. Lohr, Joullian, Manzoni, Otter Cove, Pierce Winery, Tudor, Twisted Roots, Ventana and Cima Collina.
The individual rooms showcase a range of design highlights and custom details. The Twisted Roots king suite features canvas prints from the vineyard and art crafted from reclaimed barrels and bottles, giving the room a rustic, artistic feel. In the Ventana Vineyards room, a wine barrel has been repurposed as a snack bar, stocked with branded treats and wine selections. Cima Collina partnered with a local vineyard artist to create original paintings specifically for its room, while J. Lohr added plush bathrobes for added comfort. Across the board, each winery contributed signature items and experiences that enhance the guestroom atmosphere and reflect its brand.
Beyond the personalized room designs, Vendange Carmel Inn and Suites offers amenities that complement the wine-focused concept. Guests receive a daily breakfast and can participate in weekend wine tastings hosted on the property. The inn also makes available wines that are frequently sold only in the partner wineries’ tasting rooms, giving visitors convenient access to limited selections. On weekends, guests can gather around a fire pit to enjoy wine and live music, creating a relaxed, social atmosphere that highlights the region’s wine culture.
