Arrival and Check-In: I visited the NH Collection Madrid Eurobuilding shortly after it reopened following a comprehensive renovation that introduced a modern, refreshed design. The lobby was lively with guests spread among several seating areas, likely due in part to the nearby Santiago Bernabéu Stadium and an upcoming Real Madrid match. Although I arrived before the standard check-in hour, my room was ready, and the staff handled the process efficiently.
Guest Rooms: The guestroom felt bright and newly updated, with sunlight pouring through large windows. The workspace was thoughtfully arranged: the desk faces the window, offering business travelers a pleasant view while they work, and a small table beside it provides extra surface space. The contemporary color scheme combines white and silver-gray tones with subtle purple accents for a calming atmosphere.
To the left of the entrance is the bathroom, separated from the main room by a glass panel with adjustable shutters for privacy. The shower is spacious and luxurious, featuring a rainfall showerhead. A long bench and the TV/minibar unit create a smooth transition into the sleeping area, where a king-sized bed is flanked by small bedside tables. Additional seating is available in the form of a gray armchair.
Services and Amenities: The hotel’s amenities stand out for their quality and range. The fitness center, while not open 24 hours, is sizeable and equipped with modern machines and personal training options; locals can even purchase monthly memberships. The wellness offerings extend to a spa and paddle courts, providing guests with varied options for exercise and relaxation.
Dining options include Praga, where I enjoyed an extensive breakfast buffet the morning of departure, and the lobby bar, which serves cocktails late into the evening. Other on-site restaurants I did not try during this stay include Domo, guided by chef Paco Roncera and featuring bartending by Diego Cabrera; DiverXO, the innovative restaurant of David Muñoz; and 99 Sushi Bar. Each outlet enhances the hotel’s culinary reputation.
The property also caters well to business and events. With 32 meeting rooms equipped with up-to-date technology, the NH Collection Eurobuilding can host conferences, corporate events, and private functions with ease.
The Experience: Opened in 1973, this Madrid landmark has regained much of its original prestige thanks to the recent renovation. The updated design and comprehensive amenities make it a strong choice for both business and leisure travelers. My single-night stay left me wishing I could have enjoyed more time to explore the hotel’s dining and wellness facilities.
