Meliá Hotels International will expand its lifestyle portfolio by bringing the ME by Meliá brand to Milan. Slated to open in 2015, ME Milan II Duca will be situated in the fashionable Piazza della Repubblica and will mark the brand’s first ME by Meliá hotel in Italy. Meliá already operates properties in the country, including Gran Meliá Rome, Meliá Villa Capri and Meliá Genoa.
The boutique hotel will feature 132 guestrooms, of which 34 will be suites, and will include dedicated meeting and event space, a stylish lounge bar and an on-site restaurant. The arrival of ME Milan II Duca underscores Meliá’s push into lifestyle hospitality across key European and Middle Eastern markets.
ME by Meliá’s development pipeline also lists several other openings: ME Mallorca in May, ME Ibiza in June and ME Dubai in 2016, reflecting the brand’s focus on vibrant, design-led destinations that blend local culture with contemporary hospitality.
