Turkish Airlines Unveils New Long-Haul Business Class Seat

Stelia Aerospace, a manufacturer of aircraft interiors, has developed a new long-haul business-class seat for Turkish Airlines’ Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A350-900 fleets.

Described by the company as “Full Flat, Full Access, Full Privacy,” the seat provides direct aisle access for every passenger and is designed to combine comfort with privacy and modern styling.

Key features include 44 inches of seat pitch, an 18-inch touchscreen monitor, a generous footwell and a large tray table. The design also incorporates adjustable dividers between alternate rows of center seats—offering both full-height and mid-height options—so passengers can customize their level of privacy. Additional comforts include lowerable armrests and individual reading lights.

Turkish Airlines will install the seat in 25 new Boeing 787-9 aircraft and 25 A350-900 aircraft. The airline plans to introduce the cabins this summer.

Thierry Kanengieser, vice president of cabin interior at Stelia Aerospace, commented that the bespoke Business Class seat was developed to be Turkish Airlines’ best-in-class offering for long-haul travel. He noted the company’s close involvement in customizing products through every step of the design process to meet customer needs and expectations, emphasizing the balance of comfort and contemporary aesthetics in the new seat.
