Air France has renewed its partnership with Hertz, Thrifty and Firefly, naming the three brands the airline’s exclusive car rental providers for the next four years. Operated under the Hertz Corporation, these brands will also serve as exclusive partners for Air France-KLM Group’s regional carrier HOP! through 2020.
The agreement delivers benefits for passengers who rent with these companies, including discounts of up to 15 percent on basic car rentals and related products. Customers booking through the Air France website and mobile app will be able to choose from a wide range of vehicles and reserve flight-and-car combinations at special rates. Integration of all three brands on Air France’s digital platforms makes it simple to combine flight and rental bookings in one transaction.
“Hertz and Air France have enjoyed a successful partnership for the last 28 years, helping to drive the constant evolution in seamless ‘fly drive’ services to customers,” said Michel Taride, group president, Hertz International. “Our enhanced agreement with Air France and our new partnership with HOP! will result in added benefits tailored specifically for both carrier’s passengers, who will also receive fantastic Hertz, Thrifty and Firefly discounts and privileges.”
Under the renewed agreement, Air France passengers receive a 15 percent discount on Hertz basic car rentals and up to a 10 percent discount for basic rentals with Thrifty and Firefly. The partners are also introducing several rental products tailored to Air France and HOP! travelers:
- No Stress: Hertz rates with fixed prices year-round.
- SuperCover: Enhanced coverage, a free additional driver and unlimited mileage.
- Youth: Removal of the young renter surcharge for drivers aged 19–23 renting Hertz vehicles in France.
- Family: A 15 percent discount on basic Thrifty rentals, 50 percent off car seats and a free additional driver.
Members of Air France’s Flying Blue loyalty program can earn additional miles for each qualifying rental booked via the carrier’s website. Elite Flying Blue members are eligible for Hertz Gold Plus Rewards tier matching, unlocking extra benefits on car rentals. La Première passengers will receive a dedicated meet-and-greet service at arrivals and be escorted to their rental vehicle at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) airports.
The refreshed partnership reinforces both airlines’ focus on integrated travel solutions, offering streamlined booking, cost savings and added convenience for travelers who combine flights with car rentals.
